It was a pleasure to welcome back Tim from Girri Girra. Tim visited all 3 of our rooms, presenting age-appropriate content and engaging the children with wonderful storytelling, dance and artifacts. Tim encouraged the children to ‘listen’ and to ‘see’.
During this visit Tim spoke with the children about our native animals. We learnt about the various types of kangaroos, about emus and dingoes and the importance of the turtle for the land and the sea.
Tim is the owner operator of a local Aboriginal business and we are lucky enough to have him visiting us twice per term during 2021. We look forward to building upon our partnership with Tim, and learning more about connecting with country.
